About Us

Environmental Infrastructure Associates is a UK-based independent consulting company founded in 2000 by the Managing Director, Simon R Worley, to provide a quality service specialising in the contractual and ‘non-technical’ (i.e. non-design) aspects of projects to a range of clients operating in both the international construction arena and in the UK.  Our aim is simple: to bring the highest professional standards and ethics to all assignments and provide them at an affordable cost.

High demand for contract and legal advisory services has been a particular feature of the company’s evolution over the years and reflects the high level of success achieved for our clients in the areas of contractual solutions and claims and disputes. We have provided contractual solutions for both employers and contractors and acted in the roles of both claimant and respondent. Negotiated solution in adjudication and arbitration proceedings, where we also act as co-counsel.  We have also enjoyed considerable success providing contractual solutions and advice to government ministries and agencies, the European Union, UNOPS, international financing institutions, contractors and consultants.

EIA are particularly experienced with the FIDIC Conditions of Contract and specialise in services ranging from advice and preparation of tender documents that incorporate FIDIC to the provision of contractual advice regarding the interpretation of FIDIC Contracts for dispute procedures (e.g. adjudication and arbitration).  The full range of services offered by EIA can be seen by following the ‘Services’ link at the top of the page.

Originally engaged primarily in environmental infrastructure (wastewater treatment plants, drinking water treatment plants, water distribution networks, collector/sewerage networks, storm water systems, solid waste treatment), our portfolio and experience has developed into transportation (roads (including associated structures), railways, ports and airports) and the building construction sectors.  We also have experience in and can bring our expertise to projects in ports and harbours, off-shore (e.g. wind farm) and energy.

Our extensive network of established and trusted associates encompasses both individuals and companies in the UK and internationally, all of whom share our views, values and high standards.  These include programme and delay experts/analysts, cost/quantum analysis experts, legal and contract experts (civil and common law jurisdictions) and technical experts in a variety of fields.
